I read “The Most Dangerous Place on Earth” by author, Lindsey Lee Johnson in three days only because it took me a little long to get into the plot. Maybe it was my own hesitation to read about high school, but once the plot took a turn (for the better), I was all in.
The book highlights so many issues that the young generation is dealing with today.
I enjoyed the book; it accurately represents the spoils of high school. It discusses themes like sex, drugs, and social media— and while these are all heavy themes, they’re very much a part of high school.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to reconnect with their youthful high school spirit. It reminded me of how trapped I felt in high school—older but not grown up. And that frustrated me like so many others around me; and that feeling opened a door to various vices for many of those I went to school with.
I give this book a 4/5 stars.
